Thank you to all those of you that came out last night! The shorts program, “Road work ahead” will be screening again this afternoon at 4:00pm. If you couldn’t make it out last night be sure to check it out tonight.
It occurred to me last night; 12 years ago was the first time I set foot into Pacific Cinematheque where I saw my first VIFF film that marked my first film festival experience. I wouldn’t of imagined, over a decade later, I would be watching my own film at the same venue in the same film festival where I first fell in love with cinema.

This Saturday is huge! We have three screenings happening this week on the 19th. Mark your calendars, bring a date. If our film makes your date cry, then offer your should for them to lean on. Angry? Offer yourself as a punching bag. I wouldn’t quite call the latter “intimate” but either way, you can’t lose.
PS. Big thanks to SF Shorts again for selecting our film. For those of you that came out on Saturday night, thank you. San Francisco is awesome.
It is always inspiring to watch great films, but the feeling of having your own film be shown alongside them is beyond words. A big hug goes to the 32nd Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF)! You guys did an amazing job with the festival gathering some of the most unique and culturally diverse lineup of films. It was great meeting the crew and everyone at the festival. Keep up the awesome work and hopefully we’ll get to see you again next year. And thanks again for the iPod Shuffle!!
Dickson holding an iPod Shuffle. Hells Yea!
Of course, another hug to the other filmmakers and the audience at the screening (and also to those that couldn’t get into the packed venue). It was a pleasure meeting all of you! Hope to see some of you again in the future.
For those of you that couldn’t make it to the screening, the AAIFF announced additional screenings expanding its outreach effort to provide community screenings in Harlem, Manhattan Chinatown and Flushing, Queens.

We would also like to thank the Indianapolis International Film Festival, Jersey Shore Film Festival, and Tulsa United Film Festival for having our film as part of your selection.
As we come to an end of a film festival filled July in the east coast, we’ll be kicking off August back on the west side with Holly Shorts Film Festival next week in Los Angeles, SF Shorts in San Francisco in September, and last but not least, San Diego Asian Film Festival in October!
Be sure to check our blog and our screenings page (link) for updated screening times. We’ll be posting more info soon. Thanks again for your support. Happy August!

SF Frozen Film Festival was a great success! Aside from being screened at a great venue, packed theatre, and big attendance for the Q&A session; we also won this year’s Best Animated Short! Big thanks go out to the crew at SF Frozen, the other filmmakers, and the wonderful SF audience. You guys really made the festival special and fun. Keep up the good work and we’ll see you in 2010.
In other news, we just got word that the film will be screening at SF Shorts! That means we’ll be in San Francisco for the third time almost back to back! SF Shorts will be happening in September so stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks.
San Funcisco we love you. Did I say San Funcisco? Why, yes I did.
