Holly Shorts

August 14th, 2009

Thank you to those that came to our screening at Holly Shorts! It is always nice to see your own work in a real theatre and this time back in our home town, Los Angeles. For those of you that don’t know, Holly Shorts, as the name implies, primarily screen short films. This is my first time at Holly Shorts and I have to say they made it very special. It was very refreshing to *just* watch shorts from up and coming directors but also established and well known DPs, directors and actors. Thanks for the experience Holly Shorts, we’ll see you next year!

In other news, Julie Belle, one of the composers for The Veiled Commodity is having her own show. Check it out! Link!

PS I promise to post more pictures next time.

Our New York premiere was a huge success!

It is always inspiring to watch great films, but the feeling of having your own film be shown alongside them is beyond words. A big hug goes to the 32nd Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF)! You guys did an amazing job with the festival gathering some of the most unique and culturally diverse lineup of films. It was great meeting the crew and everyone at the festival. Keep up the awesome work and hopefully we’ll get to see you again next year. And thanks again for the iPod Shuffle!!

Of course, another hug to the other filmmakers and the audience at the screening (and also to those that couldn’t get into the packed venue). It was a pleasure meeting all of you! Hope to see some of you again in the future.

For those of you that couldn’t make it to the screening, the AAIFF announced additional screenings expanding its outreach effort to provide community screenings in Harlem, Manhattan Chinatown and Flushing, Queens.

Los Angeles United Film Festival

May 4th, 2009

The Veiled Commodity was recently screened at the Los Angeles United Film Festival.   It was a fun experience with the turn out composed mainly of our friends, family, cast and crew.   Our film was paired with the screening of the feature “Fagbug” which interested only a few people to view the screening.   As a result “The Veiled Commodity” had a smaller viewership.  We really enjoyed “Fagbug.”  It was a film that shouldn’t have been missed.   Thank you to all those who came out for the screening.  You guys really made it a wonderful event.
